Mikela Druckman, Greyparrot
Mikela is the Co-founder of the British tech company Greyparrot which uses AI computer vision to automate material composition analysis thus enabling data-driven decisions in the resources and waste sector.
Within Greyparrot, Mikela leads commercial, technical and product teams to deliver on the company vision – using technology to solve business challenges that have a positive social impact. With the current challenges faced by operators in the recycling and recovery process, she felt the urgent need to go on a mission to use cutting edge technology to increase transparency and automation in the sector. Her goal is to lead Greyparrot in becoming the leader in waste recognition software to increase recycling rates and make a major contribution to our transition to a circular economy. Having founded Greyparrot in 2019, the company is now recognised as “Hottest Climate Tech Startup” by The EUROPAS in 2020 and as “AI Global Summit Innovation Champion”, chosen from 200+ startups tackling United Nation’s SDGs. More recently, Greyparrot has been recognised by CB Insights as Top AI100 most promising companies.
Previously, Mikela was Chief Commercial Officer at Blippar, developing cutting edge computer vision and augmented reality products and partnering with global brands to deliver award-winning projects.
She is a Global Future Council member at the World Economic Forum, providing thought leadership on emerging technologies including AI for the private and public sectors. In 2018, Mikela was listed as “TopWomen50” in tech by WeAreTheCity.
