Peter Ramsey

As Circular Economy at Business in the Community (BITC), the UK’s largest network dedicated to responsible business, Peter has supported a wide range of businesses to adopt circular economy practices.

Since 2019 Peter has been leading BITC’s engagement in the Interreg ProCirc project, developing guidance and pilot projects focussed on using procurement as a lever to upscale circular economy across northern Europe. The role has included coordinating knowledge sharing groups on circular procurement, authoring publications, leading the development of circular procurement initiatives for clothing and furniture, as well as supporting individual BITC members to pilot circular procurement practices. Outside of his Circular Economy role, Peter has also supported BITC projects on Green Skills and setting up the BITC run Community Climate Fund.

He has a BSc in Land Use and Environmental Management and an MA in Leadership for Sustainable Development, which involved carrying out sustainability projects for Pret A Manger,, Unilever, Triodos Bank, and Skanska.
